CHNK Behavioral Health Announces Evolution to OneQuest Health, Scaling a Nearly 150-Year Legacy in Order to “Transform America’s Health.”

 – CHNK Behavioral Health, a cornerstone of community care for nearly 150 years, today announced its official transition to a new identity: 

OneQuest Health, beginning November 14, 2025

. This strategic evolution marks a significant step in the organization's mission to move beyond regional behavioral health services and build a proactive, integrated system of care designed to address the complex health challenges of today.

The change to OneQuest Health is the culmination of years of growth and a direct response to the growing need for comprehensive, accessible healthcare. While CHNK has a celebrated history—evolving from a children's home to a leader in behavioral health—the new identity reflects a broader, more ambitious vision. OneQuest Health is built to scale its proven model of empathy-driven care, form strategic partnerships, and transform health for individuals and communities on a wider scale.

To celebrate this milestone, OneQuest Health will host a launch event on November 14th, at its headquarters located at 200 Home Rd, Covington, KY 41011 from 11am-1pm. The event includes a light lunch inside the historic administration building following initial remarks on the front lawn of the scenic Devou Park campus.

“This is a pivotal moment, not just for our organization, but for the communities we serve,” said Rick Wurth, OneQuest Health’s CEO. “We are honoring our nearly 150-year legacy by taking the bold steps necessary to meet the needs of the future. OneQuest Health is built for this moment. We are not just a provider, but a partner in transforming America’s health from a reactive system to a proactive journey of well-being. Our new name reflects the singular mission that unites our past and our future: a quest to help every person achieve their best possible health.”

For existing patients and their families, the organization emphasizes that this transition will be seamless. All current services, care providers, locations, and referral processes will remain unchanged. The core mission of providing high-quality, compassionate care continues to be the organization's highest priority. The change ensures that this trusted care is now supported by an organization built for greater reach and impact.

Under the new banner, OneQuest Health will focus on expanding its integrated care models, which address both mental and physical well-being. The organization will actively seek to partner with other mission-aligned organizations, providing them with the strategic and operational support needed to thrive, thereby stabilizing and strengthening the entire network of care.

 OneQuest Health is dedicated to transforming America’s health by championing a proactive, integrated approach to physical and mental well-being. Built on the nearly 150-year legacy of CHNK Behavioral Health, OneQuest empowers individuals and communities to move beyond reactive care, fostering healthier, more resilient lives through a scalable, sustainable, and empathy-driven system of care. For fiscal year 2026, CHNK and now OneQuest are on track to perform 50,000 treatment services, representing 70,000 client impacts across Kentucky and parts of Ohio and Indiana.

 – CHNK Behavioral Health (Children’s Home of Northern Kentucky) is proud to announce it has been allocated $100,000 in funding from the City of Florence's Opioid Settlement Funds. This grant will support CHNK's efforts to expand mental health and substance use treatment services, ensuring improved access to care for Florence residents.

The allocation from the City of Florence is part of its plan to use opioid settlement funds to support projects providing intervention, treatment, and recovery services for individuals with opioid use disorder or co-occurring substance use disorder and mental health issues. CHNK's services, which include prevention, early intervention, intensive outpatient, partial hospitalization, and medication management, align with these criteria. This funding will help CHNK cover the gap between the cost of care and Medicaid reimbursements, which often only cover 43%-75% of state Medicare rates, ensuring high-quality services for residents regardless of their payer source.

"This support is vital to our mission of providing an easier path to mental health for the communities we serve. By supporting our continuum of care, these funds will directly help us meet the needs of those struggling with substance use and mental health challenges right here in Boone County."

This grant supports CHNK's campaign, "An Easier Path to Mental Health," which aims to expand its services throughout the Northern Bluegrass Region, including the City of Florence. As a recipient of these funds, CHNK will provide the City of Florence with an annual report detailing the type and number of services provided to its residents.

About the City of Florence Opioid Abatement Funds

The City of Florence receives a portion of Kentucky's opioid settlement proceeds, which can be used to fund projects that meet specific criteria related to opioid use disorder or co-occurring mental health issues. These funds are intended to support programs providing intervention, treatment, and recovery services to those affected by the opioid crisis.

Founded in 1882, CHNK Behavioral Health is a trauma-informed healthcare organization that provides mental, behavioral, and substance use treatment to children, teens, adults, and families. Licensed as a Behavioral Health Services Organization, Alcohol and Other Drug Treatment Entity provider, and Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility, CHNK offers a full continuum of care, including outpatient therapy, residential treatment, and partial hospitalization. CHNK serves clients throughout Kentucky and extends its services into Ohio and Indiana.
